Parallel Processing
Our parallel throughput processes have two main stages:
Stage I involves parallel expression of multiple variants produced using site-directed mutagenesis in small quantities for rapid characterization and screening. For most customers, screening at stage I involves SDS-PAGE, analytical gel filtration and mass spectrometry. However, we will customize and/or scale Stage I to meet specific requirements:
Stage I involves parallel expression of multiple variants produced using site-directed mutagenesis in small quantities for rapid characterization and screening. For most customers, screening at stage I involves SDS-PAGE, analytical gel filtration and mass spectrometry. However, we will customize and/or scale Stage I to meet specific requirements:
- For biologics customers, we can tailor Stage I to produce multiple endotoxin-free proteins that can be used directly in cell-based and small animal screening
- For structure based drug design we will deliver necessary quantities of purified proteins for crystallization
screening
Stage II involves the scaled-up production of protein variants selected from Stage I. Stage II is traditional scale-up and
purification, but can be tailored to parallel production of multiple variants. This stage yields milligram to gram quantities of
highly purified product.
Both Stage I and Stage II work in fixed time frames so that you can count on
delivery of data and product to work within your project timelines.
